The Alps 2 Ocean is the most visually dramatic of New Zealand's Great Rides, and one of the most accessible. The route begins at Aoraki Village in the shadow of New Zealand's highest peak and descends through glacier-carved valleys to the coast. Most riders take four to six days. The landscape does the heavy lifting.
